Abstract

The study investigated the influence of integration of digitalization practices on personnel job performance in department of educational management and planning, university of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State. The study adopted descriptive research design with a population of 2717 which comprised 2700 students and 17l lecturers in the Department of Curriculum Studies, educational management and planning, University of Uyo Akwa-Ibom State. The Sample size was 287 which comprised 270 students and 17 lecturers, 10% was used to draw the students while census study was used to cover the lecturers, the proportionate sampling techniques and simpler and om sample techniques were deployed. The researchers employed questionnaire to elicit response from the students tagged “Digitalization of Educational Management on Personnel Job Performance Practices”. The instrument contains 16 items which were structured on a like rt rating scale of Strongly Agree (SA) = 4, Agree(A) = 3, Disagree (D) = 2, and Strongly Disagree (SD) = 1 respectively. A pilot test was carried out which yielded a reliability index of 0.83 and 0.8 with the overall reliability index of 0.84. The researchers administered 287 questionnaires to the respondents and the total of 287 questionnaires were retrieved on a spot. The mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while z-test was used to test the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The result obtained from the data analyzed indicates that digitization has significant impact on personnel job performance practices in university of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State. The researchers recommend that Google classroom application and Ed App package should effectively be implemented to enhance personnel job performance practices and distance learning program
